Decluttering, simplifying, and updating our home and workspaces creates positive energy flow, enhances productivity, and promotes overall feelings of peace and well-being. An organized home is an organized life.

Life's transitions like downsizing, moving, and letting go of a family home and beloved belongings can be emotional and overwhelming for all involved. Having someone objective by your side to provide expertise and compassionate guidance can ease the burden and help guide you through each stage of the process.

Working Together

Before working together, I start off with a complimentary introductory session via phone, facetime, or zoom to provide you with an overview of my services and learn more about your project.

 

I book in 3-hour minimum sessions but can book full or half days depending on project scope and preference. I charge an hourly rate and am happy to work within your desired timeframe and budget. First session hourly rates are higher as they include a comprehensive on-site review to further assess project scope, followed by a written recap that prioritizes your short and long-term goals with recommended next steps, strategy, and timelines.

 

As part of my service, I offer complimentary take away and drop off service after each session for smaller household and wardrobe items you may wish to donate.

 

As a professional member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO) and NAPO New England Chapters, I have a vast network of resources at my fingertips to help manage every aspect of your project. Working closely within our NAPO guidelines, I follow a strong code of ethics and protocols, including proper Covid safety precautions. I am fully vaccinated and will wear a mask when working in your home if desired. I also offer virtual consulting and project management.

Both in my personal and professional life, my mantra has always been that when your house is in order, so are you.

 

From the early days of juggling career with life, community, and raising three kids, I quickly learned that an organized home is truly an organized life. I noticed that maintaining a beautiful, organized, and clutter-free home had a calming effect that helped me feel more relaxed and in control - and even more energized and ready to face life's constant challenges. I learned to become even more efficient at creating manageable systems to help maintain that newfound sense of peace and balance – including learning to schedule times to periodically evaluate and then let go of clutter and unwanted items. I have continued to see, and show others, the incredible difference this simple practice of methodical organizing can make on our overall mental health and happiness. And there are studies to prove it!

Coupling this practical, efficient side with an obsession with everything related to art, design, home, decorating, gardening, and entertaining, I have made a hobby over the years out of organizing, styling, and enhancing my surroundings – and helping or advising friends and family members in their lives and homes. In early 2020 I decided to pause from my 30-year career in communications and move on from my full-time job as the Director of Public Relations at The Trustees of Reservations to start a new chapter and put these passions into practice. Art of the Space was launched.

It has been beyond gratifying being of service ever since, helping my clients create better systems for managing their homes and possessions, transform their living spaces, declutter, downsize, and manage moves with ease. I love seeing the renewed sense of relief and freedom my clients feel both mentally and physically after a decluttering session. The deep breath they take as I help them learn to let go and find new homes for items they can no longer use. The positive energy flow that takes over as the stare at a newly styled or updated space. The gratitude they feel for being in capable, compassionate, and objective hands when tackling these important, but often daunting decisions and life transitions.
